The Maharaja Agrasen Business School’s One-Day Entrepreneurship Program
To allow PGDM Students to dive into the world of entrepreneurship, develop innovative business ideas, and gain hands-on experience in the art of running a business, Maharaja Agrasen Business School recently conducted an exciting and insightful one-day Entrepreneurship Program, and the experience was nothing short of extraordinary. The program, which took place in the vibrant neighborhood’s of Delhi provided a unique platform for aspiring entrepreneurs to explore their creativity and business acumen.
Introduction :
Our entrepreneurial adventure began with a dream to create a unique business at Connaught Place (CP), one of the busiest markets in the city. Through this journey, we delved into the challenges and rewards of entrepreneurship, gaining firsthand experience in understanding customer needs, managing operations, and growing as a team.

The Business Idea :
Our venture, “Divine Threads” focused on offering handcrafted products that reflect creativity and quality. Setting up shop in CP gave us the perfect opportunity to connect with a diverse clientele and test our business concept in a dynamic market environment.
Challenges we Faced :
As new entrants in a competitive marketplace, we faced several challenges,
- Capturing attention amidst established vendors was tough.
- Building customer trust required persistent communication and engagement skills.
- Pricing our products needed careful balancing between affordability and profitability.
- Weather unpredictability and fluctuating customer footfall affected sales stability.
- Managing inventory efficiently during busy hours demanded quick thinking and coordination.
- These hurdles pushed us to innovate and improve our problem-solving and teamwork capabilities.
Learning Outcomes :
Our journey was a rich learning experience that enhanced our entrepreneurial skills including,
- Customer interaction and communication skills.
- Strategic pricing balancing cost and customer willingness to pay.
- Inventory and time management during peak hours.
- Creative and adaptive problem-solving in the face of challenges.
- Effective teamwork and coordination under pressure.
Achievements :
Despite obstacles, we succeeded in establishing a noticeable presence in Connaught Place. Beyond financial gains, the journey imbued us with resilience, business acumen, and confidence to pursue future entrepreneurial ventures.
The Divine Threads experience at Connaught Place was more than a business venture, it was a formative journey of growth, learning, and perseverance. This real-world exposure has set the foundation for our continued journey as aspiring entrepreneurs.
